Perrysburg Christian United


Perrysburg Christian United is a consortium of ten Perrysburg churches formed in 1973. The
purpose of Perrysburg Christian United, commonly known as PCU, is to provide for the needs of
the community through an active food bank, annual blood drives, crisis assistance, and a
Christmas toy project. PCU serves individuals and families who live in Northern Wood County,
north of State Route 582.

PCU Food Pantry

The PCU Food Pantry is located in the back parking lot of Grace United
Methodist Church at 601 E. Boundary St. The hours of operation are:
Monday1:00PM - 3:00 PMdistribution of food for the needy
Friday9:00AM - 11:00 AMdistribution of food for the needy
Saturday9:00AMthe first Saturday of every month to pack groceries
(volunteers are welcome for this event)

Clients receive two bags of groceries, valued at $45.00 and a $5.00 food voucher for the purchase of bread and milk at Kazmaiers grocery store. Clients may receive food from the pantry two times every month. Over 400 households are served annually.

Members of participating churches donate non-perishable food on a monthly basis to keep the pantry stocked. The St. Rose monthly collection schedule is as follows:

Food donations from St. Rose Parishioners may be placed in the PCU box in the vestibule of the church. Cash and checks (made out to PCU) are always welcome.

Additional PCU Activities


  • PCU sponsors three annual community blood drives which are held in January, May, and September at Zoar Lutheran Church.
  • PCU co-sponsors the annual Christmas Toy Project with the Perrysburg Township Fire Department.
  • PCU provides emergency shelter for transients in trouble via the Perrysburg Police Department.
  • PCU conducts the annual "Feed the 5,000" canned meat/tuna drive during the Lenten Season
  • PCU provides financial assistance to neighbors-in-need in crisis situations
